[Spridgets] Re-Chroming Question

The Powder Coating man will not guarantee powder coating on pot metal as it starts to melt around 400 degrees.... the temperature they use.!!

I would try an old fashioned solder iron.

We powder coated my sons Aluminium 350Z intake manifold.... it was hot enough to cause sub-surface bubbles to 'pop' and leave several small pits in the surface!
With Black texture finish it wasn't very noticeable.
