I saw my first BE in about 1960 parked in a neighbors driveway but have to
admit I just thought of it as a funny little car.  It was 1965 in England
when walking home from the pub one night a strange looking car loomed out of
the gloom with nothing but running lights and huge wheels and wing
fenders....  It was an MG TC and I was instantly smitten - still am for that
matter.  Within a few months I found and bought a 1946 TC LHD which I drove
all over Europe for a few years. Life intervened until just before my
retirement when I decided my retirement present would be another MG TC....
That is until I saw what they were selling for!! Finally, I found a Midget
in Dallas that was in fairly good condition, bought it and still have it.
Warning....   I'd still trade it even up tomorrow for a TC if I could!!
