You want one of these, http://www.motusmotorcycles.com/kmv4.html  It is 
basically 1/2 of the a Chevy LS engine.  They put one in a Manx for testing.
They will be shipping it as a crate engine in 2012.

Kawasaki uses a modified Ninja engine in their skis... Seems it would
be easier to use a straightup motorcycle engine with a shaft drive.
Especially because they would probably be in better shape to begin
with. Jet skis are usually run full open ALL the time!
