[Spridgets] Oil Pressure vs Quantity

This prompts a question . . something that I have never understood about
oil pressure. When an engine is worn the pressure goes down . . correct?

I have heard that this is tied, at least in part, to worn bearings. If so,
I cannot picture how worn bearings would reduce oil pressure?

If anyone can help me to understand this it is certainly appreciated.

(Explaining it and my understanding of the explanation may be two different
things)!

Thanks,
