I used to like to glue the valve cover gasket to the head with adhesive and
put Hylomar on the valve cover side of the gasket.  Then the gasket would
stay on the head and make a kind of oil levee, if necessary.
I made a couple valve cover nuts into T nuts

Adjusting the valve lash is important, especially if you're trying to tune
a dual carb setup.

It's nice to finally find the problem, though.
