That spring length is for the car that Jim asked about, a Mk III Sprite. 1500 spring is longer

Hey Chris- been following this (and several other) threads... 9.85" free length is for which car? MKI, II, III, or 1500? I think the Rubber Baby Buggy Bumper ('75-'80) coil was longer, yes? Were the other/earlier coils all the same? I see Moss has some high end Suplex (German) coils for sale in three weights:

std 9.5", no listed rate,
fast road 8.5" 340 lbs/", and
race 400 lbs/" - no listed length.

Ron at Winner's Circle has some 500 lbs/" race springs, and lists three different stock springs for 948, 1098/1275, 1500.

I bought some progressively wound coils for the F&R of my Europa, from Carrera(? - I think... have to check, as there are a few spring vendors out there), and they were beautiful- haven't been able to test them yet, but the concept appeals to me enough that I would like to see if I can find them for my Bugeye and B.

Cheers-

Patrick

Proportionally, they look at least 2.5 times thicker than what would give you what you need. Also, those locating pins to positively locate the blocks are incorrect. The U-bolts are probably too wide also. I think you’d have a total fail on your hands.
