[Spridgets] 995 Huffaker race engine question

Once more....   There is NO rear mail seal in this engine!  It has a scroll
seal (unless it has been aftermarket upgraded with either the Mo$$ motors
kit or the Mini Mania kit.  Both of these kits are relatively new items).
Here's a 12 minute video which describes the Mini Mania kit installation
and removal of the old scroll seal.  It is impossible to install the scroll
seal backwards. You are thinking of some other engine.
