Yep.   The gear stick on the original 5 speed sat further back,  while the 
replacement 5 speed has a modified tail casing that moves the gear  stick 
slightly further forward sop the tunnel is more untidy than it ought to  be.  
With carpet it would look really neat but I don't plan to have carpet  so am 
left with a slightly untidy appearance - future project will tidy up one  
day.
