[Spridgets] Back from the dead - almost

Finally got the Bugeye back in operation after almost nine years in storage. All was mostly well the first day and then more stuff starting happening.

First off it seems that it requires a tremendous amount of pressure on the brake pedal to get the car to stop. After a few runs it is like the front disc are not working, only the rear brakes are stopping the car. Guess it will mean putting the car back up in the air to check out the brake operation.

Then the temperature gage/sensor stopped working. The oil pressure is fine. There was a discussion about fixing these gages a few years back and wonder if there is anything new? Who is good at doing a repair ? Has anyone done an electric conversion using modern sensors receivers in the original instrument?

Then today on my way home out of the clear blue the engine started missing, like a plug wire or two had come off. Except that it will run under 2K rpm if there is no real load on the engine. With no load it will rev up to 5K. I am running Pentronix ignition which is about 20 years old as is the coil.
Any thoughts?

Thanks
