In my testing, horsepower change was negligible, and brake specific fuel consumption was nearly constant, so economy was relatively unaffected.

I have a bugeye with a 1275. Installed an aluminum radiator and electric fan with an adjustable thermostat. It was running about 190 degrees before the fan turned on. I just turned the thermostat back slightly to about 170 degrees. Where would this engine be most happy? John F.
