The threaded stud is a rubber cushioned ball in socket kind of design. Just align into either the mount plate hole on the controll arm or the hole in the sway bar.

Once tightened up the link will align itself and then off you go!

I just removed a complete stock sway bar from Frank's race car project .  so that part is very fresh in my mind.
