[Spridgets] Old guys

The list has certainly changed over the years. Finding my first 5 speed from "Crash" Ramsey, advice from Frank, Buster Cluster, Holy Sprite. I even remember taking a bit of crap from Ed for adding a dab of solder insurance on my taillight bullet connectors. More accurately, "getting" crap from Ed, I didn't take it and soldered away. My lights have never failed.
The Morris woody that delivered the home brew to Bustercluster is still our beloved grocery-getter. The oil spots next to the driveway where the Holy Sprite began its journey from California have long since faded. The Austin A35 has moved on and a 62 Mk1 Mini and a 59 Morris stake-side flatbed now have joined the fleet.
Bugsy, the turbo'ed 1275 I drove to Lake of the Ozarks is still cooling off after yesterday's flogging.
The list was once a thriving and valuable resource. I miss it.

Way before web-based forums and FakeBook groupies, this was the place I would pilfer government time on the email server and develop my earliest spridget friendships. Just seeing all your names was a trip down memory lane. And Chuck, you don't actually SIT on an Aeromacchi, do you?!

We spent some time discussing the lack of spirited list conversations compared to 20 years ago. A number of noteable names were discussed. I'm now realising why the list seems so quiet. Quite a few of the people we discussed have passed away. Frankie reads things posted here . I told him I miss rants like "donkey dung fired Chinese forges making moss repros". Or "crap harbor freight knock off tools that fail in a day at a job site" ! That and i remembered Montana Bob...who could forget those blistering exchanges? The Valentine's LBC rallies. And the moving of people's cars they bought across the country from one trailer to another until the car got to it's New owner. Following these events and participating brought us together tighter than some families. Even sprite sprees were well attended. That was then.
