[Spridgets] Sprite Midget Race Season / 60th Party

Hi fellow Spridgeteers (Race and Street),


I just wanted to send out and update on this special season in the year of the 60th Anniversary for Sprites and Midgets.  We have our typical best 2 out of 3 events at:

            
 
Gingerman May 3-6, 2018
 
Blackhawk Farms June 15-17, 2018 
 
Grattan Grand Finale August 17-19, 2018

Special60th Reunion of Sprites and Midgets Road America / Elkhart LakeSeptember 14-16, 2018 a celebration for racing, street and concours Spridgets


Gingerman is less than 2 months away and is a great start for the season.  Thursday of that weekend is the start of the Driver School and already I am getting questions from New and Renewed Spridget Racers wanting to attend.  I will be there Thursday night to set up Spridget Compound so we can all paddock together and help with Spridget Driver School Entries during Friday's on track training along with through out the weekend.  I would appreciate some assistance in this special year for showing how great a group we have off and on the track.  More details will be sent out as we get closer.


VSCDA has helped to promote the 60th and is greatly appreciated along with other articles that I have submitted to various magazines and will continue to submit to pump up the excitement for this year.  Road America is the perfect venue for a large race with plenty of Exclusive Spridget Paddock Space near turn 5 with Street Spridget Paddock directly across from race area.  This event is so much more than just a Vintage Race with car show popular vote for Race and Street Spridgets.  Special 60th Spridget Exclusive Race with Street Sprites opening the touring lap just prior to race should be a very spectacular sight.  Saturday will be our busy day with racing and an opportunity for racers and street cars to be part of the Elkhart Lake Historic Tour ending up parking together downtown followed by the Gaterher On The Green at to Osthoff a block away and then the 60th Banquet with Road and Track's Peter Egan.  This surely will be the biggest celebration of race and street Spridgets maybe ever seen!  Please invite owners and lovers you know of our favorite ride.  This is a great opportunity for Street Car Owners and friends to be involved with racing, just let me know you are interested in crewing and observing the fun we have as a group together.  We will have banners and flags at the corner of paddock which will be our meeting point for information.  Of course we will have much more information as we progress towards September.


I have attached an update of our rules and regulations for the Sprite Midget Race Series please review and let me know if you need any clarification.  We are trying to make room for every level of Spridget and placing in our 10 appropriate classes.


I also have a larger overall summary with forms scanned document that I can forward if you let me know.  This is particularly important for Street Spridgets wanting to be in the Paddock, Street Course Reenactment, Banquet and Gather On The Green Concours at a discount rate which needs to be forward to me before August 1, 2018.
