[Spridgets] Brake springs

    The beehive spring with the little "J" hook is a pain if you do not use needle nose vise grip pliers.   That allows you the ability to controll the direction of the hook of the spring and feel positive engagement.The rear brakes on the '70 midget utilise the two return springs attachment on the back side of the shoes to literally pull the shoes against the backing plate.   The earlier brakes like my bugeye used the beehive spring to hold the shoes against the backing plate to acomodate the sliding single piston wheel cylinder's motion.Chuck
