[Spridgets] Rusted out trunk

Does anyone have any "we tight" fixes for this? This photo shows looking
from the inside of the trunk towards the rear. This is the car my son is
fixing up. I have a parts car where there is no rust in this area. My only
thought is to cut a donor out of the parts car, cut out a matching section
from this car, and try to weld the donor piece into place. The damage spans
pretty much the full width  of the car.
