[Spridgets] Tach Cable

Just got a replacement tach cable from Vicky Brit to replace the 20 year old cable that broke right at the reduction drive at the generator of my Bugeye.

  This new one is made in Thailand.  Seems OK.  Does anyone know the maximum the inner cable can protrude from the tachometer end to properly engage the instrument without damaging it?  Picture is me feeling small on the way home from my transmission swap at the mechanic.Mike MacLean
