[Tigers] u-bolts

where are you guys getting your leaf spring u-bolts from? i couldn't
find any locally and eventually ordered a set from summit with next
day fedex :eek: - 7/16" rod, 6.5" length, 2.5" internal diameter.

however, measure twice, order once - turns out the old u-bolts are
smaller, 3/8" rod and the 7/16" ones don't fit through the mounting
plate.

i can't find 3/8" anywhere, not even general spring of kansas which
seems to offer any size.

i'm thinking of just drilling out the holes to fit the 7/16" bolts. do
you think that is wise?
