The shifters I have taken apart are brazed or silver soldered at the lower end in the center of the pin/lock release which slides up and down inside the shift lever. After it is unsoldered (you will have to use a torch) the wire or cable can be slid out the top of the shifter and then the "T" lock out can be removed. David Franchi
