[Tigers] Windshield Washer Question

Interesting that Tom Witt would use the analogy of an anti-backflow
valve being like a diode. When I was learning about electric circuits,
the function of electric components were often explained by using
analogies to fluid flow, the assumption being, I guess, that people were
more familiar with hydraulics than the new-fangled electricity. Shows
my age, I suspect.

Anyway, I use an electric pump in my Tiger and have it mounted close to
the washer bottle. It works pretty quickly when I push the switch for
the same reason Tom mentions - not having as much empty tubing to
"prime". Try moving the pump closer to the bottle and see if that
helps. The problem might also be with the pump itself.

For anyone who is contemplating this change, I found a round, momentary,
pushbutton switch which fits perfectly into the old washer pump
mechanism hole in the dash, Calterm #40184. I will send a pic if
interested.
