	There were a number of design changes between 1964 and 1966 for the
water pump including the cast iron water pump for the 289 in June 1965.
Different boss heights were needed for the alternator and A/C brackets.

It is also interesting that it is a 289 water pump.  The 260 never had the
addition bosses for the alternator like this one does.  The part number
indicated a 1965 pump but it was manufactured in 1964.

	Interesting; this would seem to indicate that Ford stock piled the
aluminum water pump to cover the 260 Tiger engine build.

Numbers with history can be interesting.
