Articles about the 2000GT; Road and Track June 1967, Motor Trend May
1968.

Very interesting car with 2L inline 6 engine, 5 sp, 4 wheel disc brakes and
independent rear suspension.
The door to the rear of the front right wheel is where the battery is
located on the left side is where the air cleaner is located.

Web search indicates that 337 units were produced with only 54 being
imported the USA.
Designer Raymond Loewry; offered to Nissan/ Datsun, accepted by Toyota.

I always liked the looks of that car.

I was watching Bond "You Only Live Twice" and saw a great car that I didn't
recognize. I want one...

Thanks to a site I discovered on the Alpine board I found out it's a 1966
Toyota 2000GT

Home page for this site is http://imcdb.org

You can enter a car and get a list of films it's been in but more useful if
you see a car in a film you can search by film title to find out what car it
was. I entered You Only Live Twice and viola the Toyota picture with
identification popped up. What a great idea.
