You need to make sure that the flare type and the fittings all match. However,
if you get a flaring tool, it will usually be the standard double flare type,
and that is compatible with the tee and junction blocks you're most likely to
find at your local auto supply places.

At one point I bought some bubble flare line, then cut one end and put
standard double (inverted) flare on there to adapt the OEM brake lines to
stuff that is more commonly available.
