If this is an overhead cam engine, it wouldn't be from an Opel GT, although
the valve cover is very similar in shape.  My wife had an Opel GT for about
25 years...it was an overhead valve engine, with a super short, kind of 'in
head' pushrod.  That engine liked to spin!

What engine is in the red Alpine?  I have a lot of admiration for such clean
installations.  My stuff always comes out looking like a kids tree house. 
It may be a cool idea, but mine still looks "tree house."  That Alpine
looked like it had a quality architect and a custom designer.
