[Tigers] Not Tiger---T5 ATF Recommendations

In general terms Dextron and Mercon are essentially the same. It is
basically the copyright to the name that is the major difference.
Dextron is purported to be backwards compatible to all previous
Dextron's. That said the Wiki link below seems to differentiate some of
that comparability (note the 2016 Dextron specific to GM manual
transmissions and is NOT for Automatic cars despite the Dextron name)!
Being Dextron is primarily an Automatic transmission fluid running
changes made for the Auto trans /might/ affect its use in the manual.

Automobile fluids (motor oil, trans fluid, gear oil) often get close
to a subject that could be Forum forbidden for the (at times)
contentious rancor that can ensue. All that said I use any Dextron I
have on hand but it is in my T-5 equipped Turbo Pinto. I wish you the
best in trying to make an informed decision. I'm just relaying
information not stating an opinion.
