[Tigers] Brake light switch

I have always done a safety check of all lights on my Tiger each spring when it get warm out and will be doing so again soon.   I did this even before I had a switch on the brake pedal.   I do this in the garage with the door closed so I can see when the lights are on.

 

I always do a safety check before any trip.   Bulbs burn out or lose ground, they need to be checked regularly.

So perhaps the other question is how often to folks check that their brake lights are coming on as soon as they want them to?  It used to be that when I was at a stoplight, and a car pulled up behind me, I'd routinely look at the reflection in the bumper or grille to see if my brake lights were on, and I'd test with light pressure too.  When was the last time a car with chrome pulled up behind us?!

B382000471 still has an original mechanical switch installed over 20 years ago. We have used silicone brake fluid for decades and drain and flush periodically. As usual, when purchased I bought a spare. Dan has it now if you want more info.
