There is a suitable filter available at any FLAPS.  I don't know the
application offhand, but it's a common Ford part with NPT threads on one end
and a hose barb on the other.

Since it is a paper element filter, it should be replaced periodically.
Otherwise, over time, the paper swells and restricts fuel flow.
