Good idea!  In addition, I suggest doing at least one check at high speed
with the gearbox relatively cold.  I apparently had my A-type accumulator
shimmed up to the point where it would regulate the pressure just fine at
low rpm, but get coil bind and let the pressure soar at high rpm.  Since I
only did a pressure test on the bench at around 800 rpm, I didn't realize
the problem until after it had done some substantial damage inside the unit.

In my case, the clutch didn't stick, but the force bent the bridge bars for
the operating cylinders and bent the big circlip that holds the clutch ring
to the carrier.  I think it's also responsible for the broken thrust washer
that finally disabled the unit.
