[TR] TR6 ammeter

Bob's description of his car also fits exactly the activity on my 72 TR6
ammeter. It shows flow in and out of the battery, not current from the
alternator.

Peter,

I also have a 72 with the stock Delco alternator.

On initial startup, the meter shows a significant charge for a few
seconds, then back to zero charge. There are slight blips when I apply
the breaks, lights, wipers etc. but then back to neutral.

My battery is a Exide Orbital.
