[TR] TR4 Trunk seal

Thanks Dave, I do know how to clean and paint parts. Done a lot of that on
this car.

On another subject:

Dave, (Or anyone else who has some good ideas,)

Today I was working on installing the trunk seal I bought from VB. It
stands very tall and straight up from the way it installs on the lip seal.
The seal that stands up can either be mounted to stand inboard from the edge
it mounts onto, or it can be mounted the opposite way so the seal stands up
outboard from the edge it mounts onto. Either way, the seal stands so high
that it is impossible to close the trunk lid completely. So here are my
questions:

. Should the seal be mounted so that the high part stands inboard or
outboard of the mounting edge?

. Then, how do you get the trunk lid to close? Do you have to work
a bend into the edge that stands up, so that it is not as high?

. Or do I need to buy a different product from a different vendor?
One that fits better?

Thanks

Hi Creig,

I might have a right hand sun visor bracket for a TR4A . I will look tonight
or tomorrow night. You might have to repaint it.

I just finished up my TR4A recently myself.

I will get back to you shortly.

Subject: [TR] TR4 Sun visor mount

I am getting toward the end of my restoration on my TR4A. I am missing the
passenger side visor and the right hand bracket. I ordered a pair of visors
from Victoria British that included brackets. But the brackets that come
with the pair are the swing style like the TR6. To mount these brackets
onto the TR4 frame would require some major modifications to the windshield
frame that I don't really want to make on this car. So I checked Victoria
British and Moss for a replacement, but neither carry it. Does anyone know
where I could buy a new or used right hand bracket for a non-swing visor
setup?

Thanks
