Jim,
I presume you are talking about what Moss describes at the Pinion
Flange(674.250)?  You just need to turn it left or right to align the
splines and it should slip right on, be sure you are good and square to the
shaft.  I have this same job to do this weekend, received my new seal today.

Is there a trick to getting the rear pinion yoke back on the pinion on a
TR3A?  I have put a new seal in and the yoke doesn't want to seat on the
pinion and slide on.
