[TR] Spotted in La Jolla last month -- exactly *what* did I spot, though?

BINGO!

1955 Maserati A6GCS Spider by Frua, one of about three, and that
(apparently) the same car auctioned by Gooding at Pebble Beach in 2018 for
$5.17 million.  It's a Villa d'Este winner in 2010.
