[TR] Front end "play'

Is it in the linkage or the wheel bearings? If you can get that movement when you grab the wheel at 12 & 6, then re-check the bearing tightness.

If the linkage, and not the steering box, check the bushings in the idler arm. BTDT.

Hey all ~

I've rebuilt the front suspension and steering on my TR3A
including the steering box and all steering components. I have
checked fit and function as best as I can but, with the front
end on jackstands and grabbing the wheel at the 3 and 9
o'clock positions , I note that there is about 1/4 to 3/8" "play."
Is this normal? Should there be zero play in the front wheels?

Thanks for any insights....
