[TR] TR6 windshield wiper cable rack

New, speed spec meeting wiper motor, wipers are slow until warmed from use.  Suspect old dry grease on cable rack.  Know to pull windshield wiper arms off.  Bentley manual seems very straight forward:  pull out the rack; just push in when putting back, may need to wiggle the wiper arm spindles to align.  Is it that easy?  Any tips, tricks, warnings?
