[TR] Another fuel pump question

Hello the list.  I had some work done on my TR6, and the mechanic that
rebuilt my carbs said I had a weak fuel pump.   Ok, I can handle that, but
in y'alls opinion, is an electric pump better than the old
mechanical pump?  Pros and cons, please?  Thanks!
