. and a few judiciously placed whacks with a rubber hammer can assist .
along with Greg's suggestions. Make sure the insertion edge is lined up
exactly and start with gentle taps.

I have done a few, if the windshield is in that is the hard part, try a
lubricant that easily cleans or dries off, soapy water, window cleaner.
Warm sun will soften the rubber too if you are working somewhere cool.

Ok helping a buddy. The windshield is installed and now for the chromed
plastic finisher. It doesn't want to "slip" into the groove in the black
rubber glazing. The groove is REALLY tight. Any suggestions from TR4, 250 or
Tr6 guys?  Stuff cord into the groove and apply heat?
