[TR] TR3 daily driver

This was a posting I made on The Triumph Experience, for any who may have missed it or don't follow TTExp.

I don't want to "advertise" the car (Bring a Trailer, eBay, etc) as we are in a gated community and I'd rather just sell to an enthusiast or bring it back to Michigan to finish some outstanding issues, like the overdrive which has no wiring or solenoid.

Two months ago I came across a TR3 which had been sitting for decades: I brought it back to our house in Florida and have been working on it ever since. To date:

New battery. New spin-on oil filter adaptor. New distributor cap and leads. New brakes front (pads) and rear (shoes, springs), new calipers, rotors and hoses. New master cylinders, clutch slave and hose. New front wheel bearings. New ball joint and upper A-arm bushings (PS). Four new 165 x 80 x 15 tires and inner tubes on 48-spoke painted wire wheels. New gas tank / fittings / fuel pump. New windscreen wipers and lower windscreen seal. One replacement front hub. Two replacement restored horns. Replacement carburetors and linkages: two new carb jet assemblies. New copper and rubber gas lines with new in-line gas filter. Replacement generator. Replacement heater valve and pipe. New radiator hoses, new water pump, new thermostat. Steering wheel recovered. Replacement AMCO sidescreens.

Yesterday we started her up and ran the engine for about 20 minutes. Today I hope to get out and drive it.

I either ship the car back to Michigan or sell before we leave here mid-April. If anyone knows of someone looking for a nice daily driver, contact me for more details !
