In the final throes of rebuilding the engine, the clutch plate had cracks where the spokes met the outer ring. As the car has the Toyota Supra 5 speed from many years back, trying to match wasn?t happening. My local shop had a source of Kentucky Clutch in Brooks, KY (kyclutch.com ). They rebuild or build new clutches for cars, trucks, race cars. I know that have provided throw out bearings also. They might be a good source. I sent the broken clutch plate to them and a week later a new clutch plate arrived - the quality was far superior to the plate they replaced and the cost was $135.00. Who knows, maybe they will have a solution or at least some good suggestions. > On Aug 8, 2025, at 11:33?AM, Sujit Roy wrote: > > Replying to all. I have a Borg and Beck clutch in my Stag. I am wondering about replacing the damper oil with a lighter weight. Referring to Barney Gaylord?s page https://mgaguru.com/mgtech/suspensn/fs110.htm the standard weight oil is about 20W or ISO 68 (Peter Caldwell World Wide Imports). Hydraulic jack oil ISO 32 is 10W and fully compatible. I will call World Wide tomorrow for clarification.
