Tell me what other club newsletter is doing a play by play for the restoration of CD2L TR250.  Snagged a two year old new TRF wool carpet set at a nice price and a new convertible top frame.  Just need to get the rear retainer bar and figure out how the from header rail attaches to the frame.  

Removing the bits still installed on the body in prep for body shop.  They pickup next week and I deliver engine bits to machine shop too.  

I?m off to UF for the nerve ablation procedure on my three lowest vertebrae.  Finally!  I have good days and bad but keep at my PT twice a week.

Never met Leno, but May on several occasions when Top Gear team frequently visited the BMIHT museum in the UK. May was alright though a bit of a berk, Clarkson was insufferably arrogant and always rude to everyone he met - but that?s Clarkson all over - and the Hamster was just a big time bore. After several visits by TG, the CEO refused to have them any more because they were too disruptive and troublesome. None of us who worked there ever watched TG anyway because collectively we knew more about the UK auto industry of days gone than the TG team and their so-called researchers who were hell to deal with. Yawn.

I've heard from several sources about Clarkson.? Then there was the incident where I punch a produce because he was disappointed with the dinner selection.? That was the incident that sunk the show.
But watching two prominent car enthusiasts wax nostalgically about the TR6 was worth watching.? ?

I had forgotten, June. June was the month I purchased my Triumph TR3A. 
June of 1986, now 39 years ago. It doesn't seem all that long ago. Even 
today every time I rest my eyes on her I fall in love again. She's far 
from perfect being a daily driver with 34 year old paint, but at a well 
used 65 years of age, who is perfect? She attends the local car club 
show & shine gatherings, often as the only British car amongst American 
muscle cars. We don't have coffee clutches in the Pacific northwest 
coastal redwood forest country.? Just as well as I don't drink coffee. 
She'll never win local judging but I think she still looks lovely. Even 
with the wear & tare of decades of daily driving and weather she makes a 
lovely 20 foot car.

As I gaze out the the front door I fall in love again as we drive into 
our 40th year together.

Sadly the 1960 land Rover Dormobile I purchased in 1978 is pretending to 
be lawn art as it has a dead clutch and the gearbox is too heavy for me 
to lift. None of the local shops want to deal with the clutch 
replacement project. Shes been sitting since early/mid spring. And my 
Irish Wolfhound, O'Riley died at 9-1/2 years. I can't afford to fence in 
my back yard so I could have a safe place to raise a puppy (property 
edges a highway and Irish Wolfhounds can go very far very fast). I would 
love to be able to provide pictures of the Dormobile out camping and a 
loving growing puppy, but I'm not strong enough to do everything by 
myself nor rich enough to purchase fencing. But I do what I can.

Happy Anniversary to the TR3.  Also kudos for using the car as a daily
driver.  I drove my 4A as a daily until 1990, when the interplay of very
hot summers and wearing a coat and tie to work didn't mesh well with a car
with no air conditioning, though the 4A was a beast starting at temps well
below zero and cutting through the snow pretty well too.

The TR3 looks great.  Hears to many more years of it being used and enjoyed.

Sadly the 1960 land Rover Dormobile I purchased in 1978 is pretending to 
be lawn art as it has a dead clutch and the gearbox is too heavy for me 
to lift. None of the local shops want to deal with the clutch 
replacement project. Shes been sitting since early/mid spring. And my 
Irish Wolfhound, O'Riley died at 9-1/2 years. I can't afford to fence in 
my back yard so I could have a safe place to raise a puppy (property 
edges a highway and Irish Wolfhounds can go very far very fast). I would 
love to be able to provide pictures of the Dormobile out camping and a 
loving growing puppy, but I'm not strong enough to do everything by 
myself nor rich enough to purchase fencing. But I do what I can.
