Do the left lights flash when the switch is in either direction?  If so, double check the turn signal switch wiring and make sure the GW, GR and LG/N wires are connected correctly.

the blinkers were working previously.  the blinker module was bad and i replaced it.
 
  
 
i have tested the new blinker module - it is LED as are most of the lights on the car - it works.  If I go from the module to the battery ground with a test light it blinks
 
  
 
the blinker switch, according to my continuity tester, works.
