Here is the application that came with the cars when new. The earlier badge (TR2 and 3) was red and black, the later badge (TR3A, TR4 and TR4A) were blue and white like yours.

I have the badge on the front of my TR3 along with a FOT badge but I know almost nothing about the Triumph Sports Owners Association. Evidently it was a factory run owner's group of some kind. I've no idea beyond that. Years? Did they have a newsletter? sponsor events? Could someone please fill me in?
