[Vintage-race] FW: Vintage Racing Gremlin

Had a friend with a hot 6 Gremlin back in 1969. Blew the motor in 1970 so
we stuck in a 401 V8 with a close ratio Javelin 4 speed. Was a great
freeway cruiser, but had no traction off the line. Great though at smokin'
old junk yard tires!

A freimd of mine in high school had a hot rodded 6 Cyl Gremlin that was
pretty quick and handled and stopped well enough that he didn't kill
himself or anyone else with it. It was fairly light and ran low 14s at
75&80 Drag-A-Way. Good use of space in that car too; it regularly used to
take 4 of us from suberban DC to PA to go skiing.
