I think that's the key point. Trailer tires have unique characteristics.
Back in the 60s you could use a passenger car tire on your trailer,
but a Passenger car *radial* was a bad idea.  Now that they make *trailer*
radials it's a moot point.... but I'm sure many people still are unaware
of the importance of buying "trailer" tires.
