Amici:

Shirley and I entered a DRIVE for CHARITY RALLY in Illinois last Saturday in
our street TR4. The Rally was 170 miles in three states (including
Confusion), with 450 +/- miles over two days. Hot, humid, then violent Thunderstorms.
Car ran great, but did bust a generator ground wire, lost the 'H' from TRIUMPH
off the boot, and the air cleaner on the front carb worked loose (fortunately
it stayed in the engine compartment). Great time, but got really sunburned.

At the event a member of the ILLINOIS REGION of the ANTIQUE AUTOMOBILE CLUB
of AMERICA was passing out flyers for the 57th ANNUAL ANTIQUE AUTO SHOW. They
are featuring VINTAGE SPORTS CARS. Anyone who wants to exercise their TRIUMPH
and see some 'really exotic stuff' (LAKE FOREST makes our RIVER HILLS look
tacky) should consider attending. I don't have entry forms nor further
information but you can get same from BOB GRUTZA 847/604-9259. I think
preregistration fees are $15 (judged) $10 (display only). Day of Show it is $25 and $20
(but you need to arrive prior to 10 AM).

They have been doing this for 57 years, so it should be a Big Show.

It sounded interesting to us, but of course, we'll be at ROAD AMERICA racing
in the BRIC.
