[WMJR] September social event: Honouring Wayward Brits at the Bayou

The WMJR social calendar, which was embarrassingly empty for September, 
now has a fun event scheduled.

Last March our VP Ken Borg received an inquiry from a Brit saying he and 
a group of his countrymen/women would be touring the Western US and 
might he be interested in meeting them.

Ken passed the inquiry on to me, perhaps knowing that he and Joann would 
be in the UK themselves at that time.

Plans have progressed to the following point: the entourage (in Jaguars 
shipped over? I can't tell) will be spending this Wednesday night 9/18 
at Grand America Hotel in SLC, and would welcome a dinner and dram at a 
suitable local (pub).

So, I have selected the Bayou, 645 S. State, at 6pm.  For those of you 
unfamiliar with this fine establishment, it features Cajun food, a full 
bar, wine, and over 100 different beers (plus the usual non-alcoholic 
alternatives).  I know it well and eat there myself about once a week, 
so it has my Seal of Approval.

I'm told the group comprises 8 cars and 16 people, though it's not yet 
known how many of them will partake in the event.

I predict it will be a grand time, and I invite all members to join in.  
If you think you can make it, please RSVP by email so I can get an idea 
of the potential group size, and send follow up messages only to those 
interested.
