[WPTA] Dzus meeting

Hey All,

I got two antique plates in the last year. No photos were required.
I’ve only had to send photos for Hagerty insurance when I applied.
American collectors insurance did not ask for any.
Hope this helps.

Kevin,

Call or check in with a notary or messenger service. I think the photos may no longer be required.

Hello,

Since we are talking about Antique plates, I have a question. I'm planning to apply for Antique plates and noted the MV-11 form mentions 4 prequired photos - one from each side and front and back. Obviously.
It also states if the car is convertible, the top must be up. Ugh. I have a top which has been removed and requires some fittings and is likely to be a bit of a struggle. I don't really plan to use it. Really needs replaced but I'd rather spend money on other more pressing needs. Also the previous owner replaced the exhaust with a 2-pipe, 4-tipped Monza. Has anyone had trouble with approval because of photos other than Bill, or a modified exhaust?

Thanks in advance,
Kevin

OK Kiddies -

Being in the Risk Management Business, there is NO stipulation that limits driving during night hours on any of the following plates:

1) Antique

2) Historic

3) Classic

The "official recommendation" is that you do not drive after dark on due to the lack of "lighting technology".

However, it isNOT illegal to drive after dark.

Bill. I agree on PENNDOT staff not knowing or adding their two cents

They scary part is our insurance companies use a “ loophole “ to avoid coverage

I’m going to try to get clarification from PENNDOT

Thx
