[WPTA] New TR6 Owner

The one I got from the roadster factory we put in and as I said it only lasted 50 miles. But when we took the old one out looks like an original the end of the cable was broken off that goes into the transmission. Couldn’t find that broken off piece

I am not very familiar with these transmissions

 What affect would it have on the operation of the transmission with that broken piece?

I have been having some problems getting into reverse

the shift lever won’t slide over and back the way it used to. Well any thoughts would be appreciated I really don’t want to tear the transmission out.

Speedometer cable broke, actually the angle speedometer cable connection to the transmission broke. Installed a new one today speedometer worked for about 50 miles and then it broke again. Anyone have any experience with this and know what might be causing it to break.?
