Hi, this is Dave Jackel and after a short business chat on Facebook
messenger, I?m reaching out to you about the subject.
I have a ?77 Spitfire project that I?ve had for many years. I bought it
used and what started as a rolling restoration ballooned into a frame off.
I?ve come to the disappointing realization that it is highly unlikely that
I will ever finish the car, hence I?m getting rid of it.
A few specifics (I can certainly provide more if requested/needed)
87k miles on odometer.  Car is mostly disassembled (engine and interior
out), have parts/pieces for reassembly (including new carpet kit).  Body
work substantially complete with fresh paint, reconditioned frame.  Engine
ran before removal. Attached are a few photos.

I?m hoping that a triumph enthusiast who may be looking for a good project
might be interested.  I?m intent on selling and will consider all
reasonable offers.

If you are planning to attend my Garage Tour on the 14th of June, I wanted
to let you know of a local event.  My surrounding area is hosting the Tour
de Donut. A national event that involves charities and you may encounter
groups of bicyclists on the country roads. It looks like a possible wet
day, but hopefully the weather changes by Saturday and it could be a nice
driving day.

Finally a drive out to West Finley to help clear up confusion regarding Washington County run directions from a few weeks ago.

Can confirm there is a stop sign at the intersection of West Finley Road and Burnsville Ridge. However it faces drivers on Burnsville Ridge Road turning onto West Finley Road. 

Signage across the intersection has been removed.

Residents of West Finley, as compared to the sedate and lawful residents of East Finley, are known hooligans. It is very possible they removed signage directing drivers on West Finley Road to make a left if heading to Claysville. It is also likely the stop sign at the end of Burnsville Ridge Road was turned to face away from West Finley Road. 

I suspect the Graysville Convention and Tourism Bureau facilitated the sign changes (with payments to teenagers of West Finley's ATV/Quad gang known to roam the roads at high speed) thereby increasing visitors to the metropolitan city of Graysville. 

So there it is?Solid proof of a stop sign at that intersection.

I dunno, EJ.  My philosophy has always been that the driver is responsible for seeing everything around him, including stuff that is on either side, ESPECIALLY when approaching an intersection, on an unfamiliar road.

This is why I never enter an intersection without looking both ways, in case some idiot is blowing through a stop sign, or running a red light. ?

Finally a drive out to West Finley to help clear up confusion regarding Washington County run directions from a few weeks ago.

Just a reminder, the Roads I Love Tour that will be departing from the Get Go in Delmont Pa (6586 Rt 22) on Saturday, June 21. Please plan on arriving around 10:00 with the first cars off at 10:30am. 
The 90 minute run is approximately 65 miles and will be traveling many of the isolated backroads in this area. To ensure an enjoyable trip for all, please make sure you have a full tank of gas,have check all fluids and mechanical components before departing. 
Our final destination and lunch will be at the Forks Inn located at 3819 St Rt 711 in Ligoner (724-238-7881). For those that are interested, Ligoner is 5 miles from our lunch venue. If you never have stopped before, I encourage you to take the time and visit this historic community for ice cream, shopping and a drive around the square.

Kilkerry?s, on Venetia Rd seems to do nice work.  Steele Autobody, in Oakdale, does really nice work.  Cecil Body Works, on rt. 50, in Cecil, is who I?d go to, if I needed a shop to do my paint work.  Mike Sheridan (Cecil Body Works owner) painted a Porsche 356 that I reassembled, for a friend and did a beautiful job, especially with the hammer & dolly work needed on the nose panel.  The paint job was flawless.

RayI am not in your area, but in Ohio about an hour across the border off of the Ohio Turnpike.I just wanted to give you, my thoughts as a shop ownerPlease keep in mind costs will very on how deep you go.Are you just looking at the outside, no door jambs, not bonnet or boot rain channels or the backside of the bonnet or boot lid?What about the motor compartment?Are there any blisters AT ALL????In my shop, we will not do a scuff and shoot, we only will strip down to bare metal.With materials we would be starting at $15,000$3000 for materials.112 hours at $107 to disassemble / assemble, strip and paint, wet sand and buff for basic outer paint.We only do a base coat / clear cote on the outside
Also keep in mind what rubber seals will need replacing, how are the lamps?
So much to think about!!

The Wild Willie Run has now been combined with the Wizard of Roads (follow
the windy roads).  As the name implies, the roads are twisty and scenic.
Both runs have the same starting point and end point.  Both start at 1:00

Sharon Mercer Rd. Mercer, Pa.)  With the fourth stop still at the
Coublehouse at Leesburg Falls (1015 Leesburg Station Rd. Mercer, Pa.)  For
those who can?t make the run from its starting point.  The run should be at
the Coublehouse around 3:00 (parking is reserved for us in the grass) or
join us at the West End Grille around 5:00 for dinner and comradery
(parking is also in the grass if you want).  So, see you there, have fun

Subject: [WPTA] Tr6 hot feet

You also need to make sure you have a good airtight seal between the transmission tunnel and the firewall.

Karen and I will be at the track for this event.  Jim Keenan is on my
crew.  According to the Pitt Race schedule, the challenge race will be at
1:30 pm on Sat. July 12.   Scheduled lunch break is from noon-1pm.   We'll
be in the south paddock area with the other TR folks.  Come by early for
some food (sloppy joes and macaroni salad and homemade cookies alla Karen.
