[Zmagnette] Paint

Are you painting it yourself?  If you aren't, the people who paint it will have their own opinions!  

If you're doing it yourself, check out PPG Concept.  For me that meant an epoxy primer on the steel.  Over the epoxy primer went any body filler, then epoxy primer again when it was roughly correct.  Over that went the regular sandable primer, coat after coat before I could get it right.  Then painted the car with a Concept DCC which is single stage solid color.  Came out terrible, and it was all my fault!  Every ripple and wave showed up, and I had thought it was pretty good before I painted it.  Anyway, it wasn't, and I did it all over again.  Second time?  PERFECT!  

The product was very expensive, but very forgiving, and never the cause of my problems.  When I do the Magnette this spring, I will use PPG Concept again in a heartbeat.
