I see that the jet hot stuff usually stays on pretty well for a long time..don’t know about any other ones.

Hi Jim,

Yes my engine is very hotted up and this is a competition style header matched to the ports on the heads and the inside was done very smoothly and the outside has a few dimples. As I said, less heat in the compartment and maybe it’s just in my head but it feels mildly faster. I do think I’m going to have to send my distributor to Jeff one of these days as my actual exhaust pipe runs VERY hot. If I park on the grass after a run I leave exhaust pipe/muffler shaped brown grass behind. Carl Heidemann thought I might have some ignition or timing issues.

            Regards,

            John

John,
Did they do the inside as well as outside of yours?
I am sure size makes a difference as well.
The story I got from my vender was his chemist started with Jet Hot but didn't like the direction they were going and started his own ceramic coating company. Mine looks great but we will see how it handles a B engine at .40 over dish Pistons with head shaved at .1000. Compression should be 11.5 or so.

I bet you get different prices different times of the year... This one was $190 + $45(!) shipping for what they call "extreme 1300 polished". Would probably look better on a less severely pitted part. -John
