Michael,

Yes, Allen's car is certainly beautiful.  Last time I saw it, it was 
pretty much completed.  Of course, no car ever seems to be 100% 
complete.  There's always that "one more thing".  The 
"preservationist" attitude would be that Allen's car does not put an 
original car to shame.  It's just beautiful in a different way!
